Walmart Vevor Trike Review

Walmart Vevor Adult Trike Review on May 14, 2022

Just when we thought the Amazon no name Adult trike was the worst quality trike in the bike industry Walmart beat Amazon just ever so slightly.  Now I think it is really impossible to produce a worst quality trike that what Amazon is selling but Walmart is now selling an equal quality piece of junk.  Walmart came in with a trike of equal quality with an even lower price.  I have been working in bike shops for over forty years and now see more low quality bike and trikes than ever before; it seems like there is a huge race to the bottom on who can have the lowest price bike or trike with no regard for quality. So take a good look at the Vevor trike sold by Walmart online. Vevor and Walmart are so proud of their trike that they do no put any decals or head badge on their trike. Ask your self, “Why no decals or head badge?”

Walmart is selling this Chinese made trike for $265.99 delivered. WOW! doesn’t that just sound incredible? It sound just too good to be true!  A quality trike at a bike shop will be about $650.00 assembled. Even if you subtract the assembly cost the bike shop would charge, the Vevor trike is half the price of a bike shop trike.  Ask yourself how can this trike be less than half the price of a bike shop trike?  Ask yourself that question again “how can this company make a trike that is half the cost of a bike shop trike?” Answer, they have sacrificed quality at every opportunity that there is to get the cost lower.

Frame: The frame is made out of steel with some sloppy welds.

Paint: It’s painted, what can you expect for $265.99

Drive Train:  Seven speed with a no name rear derailleur.

Brakes: Front V Brake and rear band brake.  Front brake worked ok but rear brand brake did not work well.

Seat: The seat was a little small and it did have some springs to smooth out the ride.  Overall the seat was probably the best thing on the trike, even though I think most people would still end up changing out the seat for something larger and more generously padded.

Wheels: Actually the rims were aluminum which was a surprise, they could have saved twenty five cents per wheel by using steel rather than aluminum.

Ride: The distance between the seat and handlebars was fairly close. Consequently, this gave the trike a small feel but also gave it a less steady feel. The head angle is steeper than the trikes by Sun or Trailmate.  The steep head angle made the trike steer quickly, probably not what most people looking for in an adult tricycle.  If you look at the Sun and Trailmate brands in comparison you sit much farther back on the trike adding safety and stability to the trike.

In conclusion: This trike is junk! Do not waste your money.  Notice how there are no decals on the trike and name plate, kind of tell you how proud the company is of there product. The Amazon and Walmart Vevor trike is almost the same you should watch the assembly video. https://youtu.be/3RCBXIdRFsA

Pros: If you buy it, you are only out $265.99.

Cons: The trike will come very disassembled and parts do not fit correctly, you get what you paid for. We actually rate this trike 0 out of 10 stars if you are still unclear about making a purchase.

Best place to buy: Nowhere, just do not do it!
