ICE Full Fat Review

If you’ve ever dreamed of riding beyond paved paths—onto snow, sand, mud, or rocky trails—the ICE Full Fat is your ticket to that freedom. This isn’t your typical trike. With its massive 26” x 4” fat tires, the Full Fat is built to take on terrain most trikes wouldn’t dare touch.
Tires: The star of the show here is, no doubt, the tires. The Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 26 x 4.0” tires make this trike feel unstoppable. They provide incredible traction and soak up vibrations from roots, gravel, and even snowy trails. I’ve taken mine across beach sand, muddy forest roads, and even icy backroads—and it handled all of it with confidence and control.
The lower tire pressure range also adds comfort, acting as a form of passive suspension. Even without full suspension, the ride feels surprisingly smooth thanks to the big-volume rubber.
Comfort: One of the first things I noticed was the ergonomic mesh seat. It’s incredibly comfortable, offering excellent back support and breathability, making long rides a pleasure. The seat height is just right—high enough to provide a commanding view of the road ahead but low enough to keep the center of gravity stable. Plus, the adjustable recline angle allows me to find the perfect position for both comfort and aerodynamics.
Handling: Whether I’m cruising on paved roads or tackling rugged trails, the ICE Full Fat handles it all with ease. The frame is constructed from lightweight 4130 chromoly steel, and the trike’s geometry ensures excellent stability and maneuverability, even at higher speeds or on uneven terrain. The Shimano Deore 30-speed drivetrain offers smooth and precise shifting, and the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power.
Stability: The Full Fat’s frame is no lightweight in terms of strength—it’s made from tough 4130 chromoly steel with precision engineering that can handle demanding conditions and heavier loads. The wide track and long wheelbase add to the stability, so even on side slopes or rough descents, I always feel planted.
It’s rated to carry larger riders and gear, making it a strong choice for bikepacking or wilderness touring.
What I appreciate most about the ICE Full Fat is its versatility. It’s available in various configurations to suit different riding styles and preferences:
Gearing Options: From derailleur systems for speed enthusiasts to hub gears like the Rohloff 14-speed for low maintenance and reliability.
Tire Choices: The trike comes equipped with Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 26″ tires, offering a balance between speed and comfort.
Folding Frame: The Full Fat features a center-folding frame, making it easy to store and transport.
The ICE Full Fat isn’t just a trike—it’s a tool for adventure. If you want to explore places regular trikes or bikes can’t go, this is a serious, dependable machine. Whether you’re trailblazing, bikepacking off-grid, or just want a rugged trike that rolls over anything in its path, the Full Fat delivers. It turns obstacles into invitations to ride farther.
Pros:
- Massive 4” tires glide over snow, sand, gravel, and mud
- Incredibly stable and confidence-inspiring off-road
- Folds for transport despite its size
Cons:
- Heavier than most trikes (~50+ lbs without e-assist)
- Slower on pavement compared to skinny-tire model
